Why does my piece look slightly different from the photograph? add
Because a person drew it. Wax fractures differently on every length of cloth and natural dye baths shift as they age. The pattern and shade will be close, never identical — that variation is the evidence it was not printed.
Will the colour bleed? add
Indigo pieces will release some colour in the first two or three washes. Wash them alone in cold water and it settles. This is normal for fermented indigo and stops on its own.
How long does international delivery take? add
Nine to fourteen working days by air from Colombo, tracked the whole way. Duties are the recipient's responsibility and vary by country.
Do you take commissions? add
Yes, for wedding parties and for pieces drawn from a family motif. Allow eight weeks and write to us with what you have in mind.
Can I visit the dye house and studio in Kandy? add
Yes, our Kandy dye house is open to visitors Tuesday to Saturday, 9am – 4pm. You can observe the vats, meet our artisans, and purchase directly from our showroom.
What is your exchange and return policy? add
We offer a 14-day exchange and return window for unworn items in their original condition with maker tags intact. Complimentary alterations are also available at our studios.
